Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Virginia Mardikian and I am delighted to be your child(ren)’s School Counselor this year.
I have known that I wanted to be a counselor since I was 14 years old, and I am overjoyed to be a member of the Bishop Ryan family. It is a privilege to watch your children grow academically as well as in their faith. I am growing in my faith, too, completing my conversion and becoming a full member of the Catholic Church.
I graduated with Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Substance Abuse from Kaplan University in 2014, and received a Masters of Science in School Counseling from University of Mary in 2018. This is my third year at Bishop Ryan and my second year working with Kindergarten through 12th grade.
My program includes academic, college and career, and emotional-social learning. I am also very excited that the program we have at Bishop Ryan is able to align with the Catholic virtues. I am always pleasantly surprised at how well the students are able to connect lessons with what they are learning in religious formation.
Please feel free to contact me by email or phone if you have any questions or if your student needs additional support during this trying time. I look forward to working with you all!
Pax Tibi,
Virginia Mardikian, MSC
K-12 School Counselor
