My first teaching job was at Bishop Ryan in 1990-1992 and, after 28 years at MHS-Central Campus, I am back! I love the transformation that has taken place in the culture of Bishop Ryan. It brings such a sense of peace to have prayer and the sacraments interwoven into our daily routine and to see the love and respect our students have for the Lord.
I am currently teaching Biology, and two Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Biomedical Science courses: Principles of Biomedical Science (open to grades 9-12) and Medical Interventions (open to grades 11-12). If you are in a medical career, I would love to have you come and share what you do with our students.
My family and I belong to Our Lady of Grace where my husband, Mohn (BRCS alumnus) is a Deacon. We have four children (all BRCS alumni) and seven grandchildren.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education, a Master of Science degree in Special Education, and a graduate certificate in autism spectrum disorders or ASD. I appreciate that each student is unique and unrepeatable. I strive to make each feel valued and welcome in the science classroom and foster the development of a growth mindset so they don’t give up when something appears difficult.
I am excited to watch our students grow both intellectually and spiritually.
