Mrs. Courtney Coté is here at Bishop Ryan and doing great! I am originally from Western Pennsylvania, and I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.E. in Early Childhood and Special Education. In 2017, I graduated from Minot State University with a master’s degree in Education with a Reading concentration.
Bishop Ryan has been my home away from home since my husband and I moved to Minot in 2014, and we are also members of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, continuing to grow in our faith by being more involved in the Catholic community.
I am also the Lions Learning and Fun After-School Program coordinator at Bishop Ryan. I love being able to spend time with the students in a different setting from the classroom. I dedicate a lot of my time to my work as a teacher and truly enjoy each and every minute of teaching Kindergarten at Bishop Ryan. When I am not in the classroom; I enjoy crafting, going on adventures with my husband, binge watching Netflix, and being a life-long learner so I can be the best teacher I can be for your children.
I am so proud to be a Bishop Ryan Lion! The classical education approach is a great way for Kindergartners to learn basic grammar and mathematics that they will later need to grow into well-educated and virtuous adults. I value play as part of a child’s education, and my goal as a teacher is to continue to encourage students' growth in God, as well as providing the best education that they can have. Remember, God is present and is always listening to our prayers. Just know that I am always here for anything that you may need and I will work to make sure your child is getting the best education they deserve!
