I am Barbara Johnson, and you may know me as your child’s librarian, but there is a lot more that I do for the school.
First off, I am a Bishop Ryan Catholic School graduate, as are both of my boys. (Fun Fact: My oldest sister started at Bishop Ryan in 1968 and we have had a family member enrolled every year since then, and since our youngest family member is a kindergartener, I am happy to say the legacy should continue for awhile.)
I have a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Minot State University. Additionally, I have a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and 30 years of teaching experience. I help both students and teachers with all the various learning styles to ensure every student is successful. I am also a published author and public speaker, so of course I love books, and I hope that my enthusiasm is for reading is far more contagious than this awful virus!
Read together or read alone, but please be reading! (Or even write your own stories.)
