One of Fr. Nelson’s favorite ways to spend time celebrating with friends is around a table with a full plate of authentic Italian pasta. As part of a reward for reaching a Lot-O-Dough ticket sales goal and to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, Fr. Nelson brought his love of Italian cuisine to the Lion kitchen in February.
The menu included rigatoni all’amatriciana and breadsticks, mixed salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, and strawberry gelato for dessert. The meal was a hit with students and staff alike, and Fr. Nelson gained a new appreciation for what cooking for 400 looks like every day!
