After qualifying at the Minot Regional tournament held virtually on February 20th, all three Bishop Ryan FIRST LEGO League Challenge Teams placed in the virtual State Competition on March 13th. Congratulations to:
The LEGO Lions VIII were honored with the second place award for Robot Games.
For this award, their robot designed and constructed with LEGOs, motors
and sensors scored the second-most points on the challenge board among all teams.

The LEGO Lightning won the second place award for Core Values.
For this award, the team demonstrated the knowledge and practice of the values of discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork and fun.

The Legendary LEGO Lions were named the overall runners-up for their performances in Innovation Project, Robot Design, Core Values, and the Robot Games, and they would be the first alternates to represent North Dakota at the 2021 World Festival in Detroit!
(It was announced that this year's World Festival events have been canceled.)

The FIRST LEGO Challenge League is open to students in grades 4-8,
and this is the third year that Bishop Ryan teams have competed.
The teams are coached by BR alumni Reuben Gates ('96) and Randy Brunner ('94).
